Your letters, postcards, and photos are always welcome.
-An annual progress report shows you how
Plan activities help your sponsored child.
-Letters from your sponsored child and his or her family make you a part of their lives.
The journey of a Plan letter is a two month odyssey.
If your sponsored child is not yet able to write,
someone in the family or a volunteer in the community will write to you on his or her behalf.
Letters may sound repetitious from time to time because literacy in target communities is often low and writing letters may not be a part of the local culture.
Frequency of correspondence and content of letters may vary.
-Quarterly newsletters and project report on Plan Japan's website keep you informed about our activities
-You are welcome to visit your sponsored child and take the opportunity to see how projects operate in his/her community.
From sponsored children
- Family photos and project area information (will
arrive about two weeks after you register)
- Sponsored child's or community's “annual
progress report (once in a year or in one and half
a year )
- Letters and drawings (at least once in one and
half a year )
