Plan Japan is a private institution officially recognized by the Cabinet Officeas contributing to the public good.
Plan Japan has an office in Japan as a member of Plan International, an international organization. Currently, we have a total of 70,000 supporters via each supporting program including Sponsorship.
1983: Established as Foster Plan Japan Office.
1986: Authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an Incorporated Foundation.
1988: Officially recognized as a private institution contributing to the public good.
2003: 20th anniversary event
2006: The group name goes by "Plan Japan" from "Foster Plan".
2011: Authorized by the Cabinet Office as a Public Interest Incorporated
Foundation.
You are eligible for a tax deduction as your contributions are “(the ones) to corporations (including private institutions officially recognized as contributing to the public good) and others that noticeably contribute to the public good” based on Income Tax Law and Corporation Tax Law.Plan Japan issues official receipts for donations stating the previous year’s total amount of contributions we have received from you, so please use it for filing them.
Plan Japan undergoes auditing by an international auditing company and our auditors every year based on public-interest corporation accounting. Additionally, we obtain the permission of the Board of Directors and the Board of Councilors, and submit financial reports to the Cabinet Office. We report to supporters and related parties via supporters’ magazines and the Website.
We deal securely and properly with your personal information based on all relevant laws. We collect and maintain only the information necessary for our purposes and will not disclose it to the third party without prior notice. There may be cases, such as in shipment, where we provide personal information to outside agencies that we trust to handle it in the same way we do.
